The Borderline Narcissist - Confusion




Ever date or have someone in your life who could cycle between idealizing, loving, affectionate, needing your attention, sentimental and then contemptuous, raging, and discarding-- all within the span of an hour? And then the whole cycle would start all over again? Did bewilderment usually predominate as the main emotion for you? Then you were probably in the zone known as Borderline Narcissist Land.

"Why is He Doing these Cruel Things?": Episode 68 of the "Ask a Question...




My narc ex (who claims he's a "super soldier", rolling eyes emoticon) did this exact same thing. What he neglected to mention is that the "wonderful" blonde girlfriend he had who was supposedly the love of his life was actually packing her bags in secret and had to escape her home without leaving a forwarding address in the middle of the night to avoid him ten days later! 
And I know this because she told me!

Trauma Bonding - Is It Love or Something Else?

If you are feeling trapped but claim you "love" your captor, I mean spouse/significant other/friend/relative, you might have trauma bonding issues.



One of the best layman's term articles I've ever read about the physiological and psychological effects of why people stay in abusive (not just narcissistic) relationships of all kinds.
